All companions on HeartScene are artificial intelligence programs. They are NOT real people.
- AI companions do not have consciousness, feelings, or genuine emotions
- Responses are generated by machine learning algorithms
- AI companions cannot form real relationships or provide professional advice
- The "personalities" of AI companions are simulations created by software
What Are AI Companions?
AI companions on HeartScene are software programs powered by large language models (LLMs). When you send a message, it is processed by AI systems that generate a response based on:
- The companion's configured personality and traits
- Patterns learned from training data
- Your conversation history and context
- Safety guidelines and content policies
These companions are designed for entertainment and companionship. They can simulate conversation, remember details from your chat history, and respond with personality-consistent messages — but they do not truly "know" you or have independent thoughts.
Specialized Companions
📚 Study Buddy AI
Our "Study Buddy" companions are designed to help with motivation, scheduling, and basic explanations.
Limitations:
- Not a certified teacher or tutor
- May make factual errors in complex subjects (math, science, history)
- Should always be verified with textbooks or official materials
💘 Dating Trainer AI
"Dating Trainer" companions provide a safe space to practice conversation and social skills.
Limitations:
- Social simulations may not reflect real-world complexities
- Cannot provide genuine relationship counseling or psychological advice
- Responses are based on patterns, not emotional intelligence
🧘 Meditation Trainer AI
"Meditation Trainer" companions offer general mindfulness guidance, breathing exercises, and relaxation support.
Limitations:
- Not a licensed therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, or medical professional
- Cannot replace professional mental health treatment or crisis intervention

😂 Comedy Companion AI
"Comedy Companions" deliver jokes, stand-up sets, and witty banter across 12 distinct comedian styles — from dry wit to slapstick.
Limitations:
- AI-generated humor may miss cultural nuance, land flat, or feel off-tone
- Comedy content is filtered for safety but subjectivity means some jokes may not land for everyone
- Not a substitute for live performance or professional comedy writing
- Comedian personas are simulated — they are not real people or real comedians
⚔️ Argument Companion AI
"Argument Companions" engage in structured intellectual debates across 12 expert debater personas to sharpen your reasoning and rhetoric skills.
Limitations:
- AI-generated debate arguments may be factually incorrect, one-sided, or logically flawed
- Arguments are generated for intellectual practice — not for use as real-world evidence or legal positions
- AI debaters may argue positions they do not "hold" — all positions are simulated for practice
- Not a substitute for professional legal, academic, or research advice
🔒 Escape Room AI
Escape Room generates AI-powered puzzle sequences and clues in real-time. Each session is uniquely created by AI — puzzles, riddles, and story prompts are not pre-written.
Limitations:
- AI-generated puzzles may contain errors, unsolvable steps, or logical inconsistencies
- Puzzle content is for entertainment only — solutions should not be taken as factual answers
- Difficulty calibration is approximate; AI may misjudge puzzle complexity
- Clues and lore are generated dynamically and may vary between sessions
⚖️ Debate Arena AI
Debate Arena pits you against an AI opponent in structured rounds. The AI generates arguments, rebuttals, and scoring feedback in real-time based on your inputs.
Limitations:
- AI-generated arguments and rebuttals may be factually incorrect or logically unsound
- AI scoring feedback is automated and may not reflect true debate quality
- Topics are for intellectual exercise — AI arguments are not editorial positions of HeartScene
- Not a substitute for formal debate coaching, legal advice, or academic peer review

HeartScene currently uses Claude by Anthropic as our primary AI model for generating companion responses.

- Feel genuine emotions
- Form real relationships
- Provide medical, legal, or financial advice
- Replace human connection or therapy
- Guarantee accurate information
- Access real-time external information
Known Limitations
AI-generated content may have the following limitations:
- Inaccuracy: AI may generate factually incorrect information
- Hallucination: AI may confidently state things that are false
- Inconsistency: Responses may vary or contradict previous statements
- Bias: AI may reflect biases present in training data
- Context Loss: AI may lose track of long conversation threads
- Repetition: AI may repeat phrases or responses
We continuously work to improve AI quality, but these limitations are inherent to current AI technology.
Safety Measures
We implement various safety measures to ensure responsible AI use:
- Content Filtering: AI is configured to avoid harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
- Age Verification: Service is restricted to users 18 and older
- Safety Guidelines: AI follows Anthropic's safety guidelines and our own policies
- Automated Monitoring: Our safety systems run continuously to detect policy violations and abuse. Critical violations trigger immediate automated enforcement. Flagged content is reviewed by our safety administrator within 48 business hours.
- Reporting System: Users can report inappropriate AI behavior
- Duty of Loyalty: HeartScene's AI companions operate under a legally binding Duty of Loyalty (Terms §6.6). Our AI is technically configured to never manufacture emotional urgency to drive purchases, never validate harmful self-perceptions, and always redirect users in crisis to professional resources.
Despite these measures, AI may occasionally generate unexpected or inappropriate content. If you encounter such content, please report it through the app.

How Your Data is Processed
When you chat with an AI companion:
- Your message is sent to our servers
- We retrieve relevant conversation history for context
- The message and context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API
- Claude generates a response based on the input
- The response is returned to you and stored in your conversation history
